i'm a ghost keeping out of sight ,
It's been a while since I've been here.Rayne couldn't quite remember the last time he has been to the local arcade, but he could very well remember the high score he set while playing Tekken 3. That game was part of his childhood, and he figured he could come back with the pocketed cash he had and play the game again. He just wanted to see if his gaming skills were held up after all these years.
Next thing that came to his mind, was the fact that he actually had a past to look back to. If it wasn't for his essence he would be nothing but a memory. His parents probably would've ended up being sad, depressed, mentally broken. At the same time though, after figuring out what exactly had happened through research on the man that he considered to have saved his life, he wondered what version of himself did he bring from one world to this one. He knew that this version of himself that he was isn't supposed to be the one that was supposed to be in this dimension.
It seemed like a nightmare, having to figure out and deal with something like this, but at the same time was an interesting thing. He understood the theory that Everett had thought up very well, and knew that time wasn't really a river, but an ocean. Right now, there's a universe where he didn't get the high score in Tekken, and as a result didn't come to the arcade to play again. There's a universe where he played any other game in the arcade and got a high score. The possibilities were endless.
With hands in his pockets, he approached the empty cabinet. The demo played on the screen where two computers were fighting each other while the words "GAME OVER" kept flashing on the screen, indicating someone had played before. Inserting a coin into the machine, the character select screen came up, before choosing who he thought was the most easy character to control, Ling Xiaoyu, before the first stage came up, and he started to play.
